Track 1: On this episode of [00:02:00] the podcast, I'm here with Dawn Wecker of the podcast, Dawnversations. Dawn is a former hairstylist of 30 years, and now she cares for the elderly in their homes. She's married with three grown children and one grandson, and two granddaughters due in November and December. Wow. Family is expanding

Dawn: I know. I love it.

Track 1: Um, Dawn will share about her podcast today, but it's changing, um, these days to be a show about spirituality and self-development. And so I'm so excited to share this conversation with Dawn today. Dawn, welcome.

Dawn: Thank you so much. I'm so excited to be here. I'm a fan of your podcast and I'm just excited to talk about the changes.

Track 1: Yeah. Well, let's jump into it. So, um, you were sharing a few things before we recorded with me about your journey, but I wanna ask, um, first, what marked the beginning of your spiritual journey or maybe the journey of your spiritual awakening?

Dawn: I feel [00:03:00] like I am in the middle of my spiritual awakening right now because I'm finally like opening self myself up to. that, um, I wasn't raised to really know about. And so I'm learning and I feel like that's helping me grow and expand. Um, I grew up Catholic and um, went to Catholic school and that's all that's information is really drilled in your head.

And it's just like, I, I'm a Catholic and so I've always been intrigued with mystical and astrology and things of that nature. I've always loved that. But I have just stayed on the Catholic path. Um, and then I started dabbling in going to different types of churches just to see if I liked anything better or what, what the message was or how it was different.

Just trying to learn about different religions that way. But doing my podcast and changing it now to a more spiritual, I'm able to now connect and talk to people that [00:04:00] are teaching me. About all the things I didn't know that I've wanted to know about. So that's where I'm at. I'm learning and I want my listeners on my podcast to learn with me without feeling like any question is dumb. 'cause I'm fine being the dumb one, asking, asking, the questions, um, for people that don't understand it or don't know it. So it's foreign to me, but I hope. When it's all said and done, I have learned so much from all these people and become enlightened.

Track 1: Hmm. Well, it's so beautiful, first of all, and I wanna commend you for. Saying, Hey, this is my journey right now and I just wanna explore it. So I don't really know where this is gonna go, but I'll put myself out there,

Dawn: Yeah.

Track 1: in front of people, and ask the questions and show, uh, what that journey looks like. So I think this is amazing.

I'm thrilled to have this conversation with you. So. Okay. You grew up Catholic. So did I. Um, and I [00:05:00] think my listeners, uh, some of, well, some, I can't make assumptions that everybody knows, but I grew up in the Catholic church. I was, uh, a devout Catholic. I went to church every Sunday, but honestly, by the time I was a teenager, it was every Saturday and Sunday.

And honestly, at one point it was daily . Um,

but I was a choir boy, and then I was a choir director for a number of years. I even thought I was a catechist, so I was teaching. Now I think about it, . I was 21 years old teaching a confirmation class.

Dawn: Wow.

Track 1: Yeah. So that's like was the thing. So you know, around that time.

I thought I would be a priest. That's actually what I really kind of wanted to do, except I knew that I had issues with the church. Um, namely that, you know, my identity as a gay man seemed to make this very challenging for me to find a place in the church, at least one that was authentic. I mean, I could [00:06:00] go be a priest and hide like a bunch of them do.

But, um, it wasn't for me. And so that definitely sparked a journey for me of wanting to discover something else, something much deeper. And that's really interesting because I would say the archetype of priest is very much who I be in the world. Um. I've had many past lives as a high priest, my God, visit like monasteries and, you know, the monk life and the life of a yogi.

I mean, these are like really something that I'm very comfortable with. But apparently in this lifetime I'm doing it in a very different way, . Um, but anyway, I totally resonate with. I mean, and I understand, I guess what it means to sort of grow up in the Catholic, uh, tradition. And you were saying before, uh, the episode recording about Catholic guilt, which is a very real thing by the way.[00:07:00]

You have never, um, been to Catholic church. Catholic guilt is real. Um, but I'm curious about, what was it for you that had you thinking, huh, I wanna know what's going on over there.

Dawn: Um, probably a lot of it honestly was the taboo ness of it being kind of in that Catholic bubble. I. Knowing that there were other things out there that other people were talking about, and more of a curiosity thing. Again, I, I love astrology. That's kind of where it stemmed. That's as far as the woowoo that I went, you know, and I'd always read up about my sign and that part started to fascinate me.

But then I started hearing other terms go along with that and other Facets of it for numerology and crystals and chakras. And I'm just like, what is all that stuff? And the more that I delved in and read about, the more I felt like not just my [00:08:00] brain was expanding, but I felt like my heart was expanding too.

Like it was something saying, you're going in the right way. Keep, keep going. Because the more you learn and know the, the. More whole you're gonna feel basically that's, I just feel like it's little puzzle pieces that keep coming together and, um, all of the coincidences that happen when I'm reading something and then I'll watch something on TV and they'll say what I just read and I'm just like, ah, I know I'm, I'm doing the right thing.

I know I'm on the right path because it just feels right and I

don't dismiss Catholicism. I think it's very important, but I also felt that a lot of their, um, teachings were outdated and not really, um, necessarily a hundred percent of the way I felt or thought.

Track 1: Mm-Hmm.

Dawn: say that it's wrong, but it wasn't a right journey for me anymore, [00:09:00] and I feel like

I am not doing anything wrong. I just am. Learning and, and trying to figure out what my spirituality is, not the one that I

was just spoonfed as a child.

Track 1: As a child, yeah. You know, I understand now, um, in my life that my, my connection to the Catholic church is definitely past life related, but it is also more about my connection to the person of Christ. So the being that was Jesus on this planet. And, you know, his message of love and compassion and forgiveness and, um, and really now I understand him as an enlightened being, which he was, um, you know, an ascended master if you want to, if that's a term that you like.

And you know him like many other masters, you know, on the planet Buddha and many others. They came to teach very specific messages about. Um, well reality, the universe, [00:10:00] our spirituality, right? And so I realize now that my connection to the church was actually a lot more about my connection to Christ. And you know, even now, um, probably many of my listeners know this, but I work with Christ all the time.

I mean, I channel him, he comes in on my left. I work with Christ Mary Magdalene, mother Mary. These are beings that are very close to me. Um, I just put the deck away, but I had my Mother Mary deck out just a few minutes ago, and so what I, what I have seen in my own journey is an expansion, which is what you're talking about of, it's not that this necessarily was wrong, but there's a more expanded form now that I understand, um, more about my own consciousness and more about my own

Spiritual journey. It's not like these beings were wrong. It's not like the teachings were wrong, it was just that they were appropriate at a period of time for me. And now I've expanded my [00:11:00] understanding and integrated, um, more because the truth is, you know, the universe is infinite and all of the world's major religions point to truth with a capital T, right?

But. There's only so much that the human mind can fully understand about infinity,

right?

And so, you know, all of the world's major religions are basically based on love and universal laws, whether they're calling them that or not. And so they're all pointing us in the direction of truth. But some have, um, you know, very different teachings.

I don't know where I heard this recently, but it was . It's like, it's something about like those who were attracted to Christianity of any form, right? Were attracted to the teachings of Christ of Jesus, which were love, unconditional love and forgiveness primarily. Um, those who are Buddhist, [00:12:00] for example, who are more attracted to the teachings of Buddha, have a lot, uh, are learning slightly different lessons.

Or they might be attracted more to the lessons of, um. You know, emptying the mind and just being present in those sorts of things. I thought it was kind of an interesting

perspective. Um, or those who might be attracted to Judaism. There are other lessons, not that, not that you're, it's not complete in its own right, but that there are specific lessons that at a soul level people might be attracted to these particular practices or belief systems.

Dawn: That's really interesting. I like that perspective though. That makes sense. Why, why people are drawn where, which way they're going. That's that's

Track 1: Yeah. And in many ways, uh, I'll bring this to the astrological component here too. I mean, we, I believe that we are. Souls come into bodies. We chose when we were born and where, and what culture we were gonna be a part of and [00:13:00] all of that. And so that has a lot to say too. Um, you know, the place in the worlds where we incarnate, where we grow up, we inherit the culture, we inherit the belief systems and also the religions , um, of those particular areas, um, as part of our imprinting, but.

We can go beyond that and oftentimes our spiritual journey does do that. So I'm really curious. So you had a career as a hairstylist

Dawn: Yeah.

Track 1: and now you're doing talking to people about spirituality. So how did that happen or where was the inspiration

Dawn: Well, my podcast was started on a whim. My son thought I should have one. He just said, you like to talk all the time. You should have a podcast. And so I just started it as a. A podcast kind of for hairstylists where we could, they could listen and about how the things that we hear from our clients when we're doing their hair, you know, the intimate details, things that they just come at us [00:14:00] with. So that's where I started. Well then after a couple of months I ended up injuring my elbow. I was already 30 years into it and I thought, I think it's time for me to retire. So I didn't really wanna have a podcast that was specifically too about hairstyling. 'cause I kind of felt like that would be make me a fraud or something.

So I thought. I'll, I'll open it up. I wanna talk to everybody. I mean, that's always been my, one of my favorite things about that job was just getting somebody different in my chair every half hour that I could just chat with and see where they're at in their life. And then, um, I was trying to get people that on that would talk about astrology and, you know, just sprinkle just a little bit here and there.

So I didn't turn off all the people that liked me talking to standup comedians and, you know, whoever else I was talking to. I loved those episodes so much, but I was afraid that people wouldn't wanna listen if that was all I talked about. And then I just started having more and more guests come out, and then I switched it to spiritual Sundays so [00:15:00] I could at least have one day out of the week that I had all a spiritual type of topic. And like a month ago, I just said, I am throwing caution to the wind. I don't care. I wanna talk about what I wanna talk about and I wanna learn from. These people that are experiencing this world that I wanna know so much about? And going back to the whole Catholicism thing, what I liked the most about being in a church and a religion was the community. And I felt like I was in this little community bubble and all these other people were outside of the bubble. And I wanna be in a community where Everybody's in the bubble. I want it to be one big, huge community. And I feel like when I interact with people that are in this spiritual, um, realm, it's, that's what it's all about. It's all about unity, love. It's just a good feeling. It's a warm, fuzzy feeling and I, I love it. Like how I loved [00:16:00] being in church and having everybody sing together and come together. That's the feeling that I get when I interact with people that are on a spiritual path. And so I, that's where I wanna be.

That's what I'm doing.

Track 1: Beautiful. My gosh, you have me now coming back to, I haven't been singing in a church in a number of years now, even though I was doing that for like decade of my life, more than that. And you brought me straight to the moment of feeling people singing in unison and yeah, that is a really powerful, um, experience.

But, uh, to your point about unity, right, and unity consciousness, because. We are as a human race, moving through a shift in consciousness where we're understanding that, you know what, maybe our religions, they got us this far, but not forever. Our economic systems got us this far, but ain't working so much anymore.

Our political systems got us this far, but really aren't going much further. And we're kind [00:17:00] of feeling like collectively that we're at a precipice. Now you could look at it and think, oh my God, the world is falling apart and blah, blah, blah. It's the of the world. And to some extent that would be true.

Because the world as we knew it or understood it, is shifting really, really, really fast. But what's happening in that process is a shift in consciousness. One, because it's required, um, in order for us to not save ourselves, that's maybe a bit dramatic. But in order for us to evolve and to continue, we have to understand our place in the universe.

We have to understand more about who we are. Um, spiritually, and so this is happening, so it's no accident that there are a lot of people talking about different, um, spiritual topics and that you, I mean, I love that you're just following your guidance and saying, yep, this is what I'm going to do. Let's have these conversations.

Even though I have no idea where they're gonna go, I commend you for that. But clearly there was guidance coming from somewhere. So. [00:18:00] How do you know, or what is the experience for you when you know that you're in alignment with your higher self or you know your guides when you're receiving guidance? How do you know like, yep, that's the my path.

I need to listen to that.

Dawn: I think that with every episode that I've done that's in that genre, there's little moments in the middle of the podcast. Where, um, I'm thinking like a podcaster, but also like a listener where I'm like, there's my soundbite there, there's my little nugget of what I was meant to get out of this. Whole conversation when I can tell that they are just in their zone and they are saying that what they feel strongly and passionately about, and they're articulating that to me, and I am putting myself as not the person that's putting on a podcast, but as the listener getting all this information. Usually it gives me goosebumps and I'm just like, [00:19:00] this is it. This is where I'm supposed to be. This is what I'm supposed to be hearing right now at this age, at this time, at this point in my life. This is exactly where I'm supposed to be. That's the vibe I get when I really, um, resonate with what somebody says in the middle of a podcast episode. So for me, it started off as a joke, and now it seems like it's developing into like this awakening that I'm having. And I don't wanna seem like grandiose about it, but it's just very much like mind blown Like this is so

cool that it's all unfolding the way that it is.

Track 1: that's beautiful. Um, , I'm being told to ask the question. I wanna ask you two things about the first . Had you ever considered the work of a hairstylist as an act of spirituality?

Dawn: I loved the feeling of making people feel good and feel better about themselves. And I also felt that, um, real [00:20:00] intimate connection where people could come in and kind of treat you like a therapist

for two hours. I. And you know, you'd make 'em feel better physically and emotionally. So I could see them being correlated, yes, but not to the level of like a priest or something because sometimes they would say things I didn't wanna hear and I would not be thinking good thoughts. So I wouldn't say it.

Track 1: Well, maybe not wholly, but as a spiritual act of really, uh, seeing someone holding space for someone. And also, I'm getting this, uh, this is a little bit weird, but I'm gonna share it anyway. Hair, uh, itself, uh, holds energy. And whether, I don't know, I'm gonna show you know this at some point. You ever cut a woman's hair off a lot of hair and she has like emotional

response to it. Actually because emotions and energy is [00:21:00] held in the hair, um, our hair is like antenna. That is constantly, um, picking up energy and psychic information from the universe. People don't really necessarily think about it, but when you have longer hair, it also can hold trauma, emotion, positive or negative emotions.

And so when you cut hair, um. It actually is essentially, I don't wanna say messing with, but changing our antenna. It's one of the reasons, well, I believe it one of the reasons why a lot of monks are bald. Um, because they, well, probably because, you know, it's about sort of denouncing maybe the material possession and the physical and that sort of thing.

That's part of it. But there is a spiritual connection to hair itself. Um. It's why, um, I'm thinking about, uh, the Sikh in, uh, when I was in India, I went to a Sikh temple and [00:22:00] they don't cut their hair at all,

ever. Um, and that's a religious choice as well because they, again, uh, I believe it's along the lines of what I'm saying here, which is that they believe it connects them with God and so it's part of their body, so they don't want to

I don't wanna say mutilate it,

that might be too strong a word, but they don't wanna do that tamper with it, which is why you'll see, um, them wearing men, especially wearing turbans, uh, on their head. Or, and I'm not talking about Muslims in particular. This, this is SIEK, um, or S-I-E-K-H. Anyway, the point is there is something quite spiritual about hair.

Um.

Dawn: interesting. I did not know that.

Track 1: Yeah. And so if you're touching people's hair all the time and you're doing work up at their crown, actually, one of the things that for me, so I'm very sensitive, which is [00:23:00] one of my gifts. Didn't think so in the past, but I know that it is a gift. Um, so for me, the choice of a barber is a vital one.

I always ask to be guided to the right person. Because they're up at my crown and I'm very, I pick up all kinds of information and so I don't want somebody up there who's have a lot of trauma or wants to dump their issues into me. I did go to a barber in the past who was like that. He just spoke way too much about his own issues.

I was like, bro, , we can't do this. Um, but the barber that I currently go to is actually a woman. Um, in Maui and, um, her and her husband own the shop actually, and they're both really beautifully, energetically, really beautiful people and it always feels very pure and, um, anyway, there's a lot spiritually about my crown and my hair.

I just

love to say,

Dawn: interesting. It really is. [00:24:00] fascinating.

Track 1: yeah. So yeah, I have to go to somebody who's like in their heart and who isn't full of trauma. That's gonna drop it into my head 'cause I can't take

that

Dawn: So when you were talking to me and then you said you were like, you motion, like you were getting a download or whatever. Are there I, I'm doing a podcast now. are. Beings spirits with you all the time, always talking through you and telling you what guiding you, um, all the time. Like are they saying something to you to

say to me right now?

Track 1: answer.

The answer is yes, but it's not like I am hearing voices all the time. However, sometimes I do hear voices. Um, I used to as a kid too, and I always thought like, it sounded like a TV [00:25:00] show was playing in my head and I could never fully, you know, okay. It's like this when I was a kid. Uh, you know when you're on the other side of a wall that's got a TV on the other side, and maybe people are talking on the other side of the wall, but you can't quite tell it's like that.

When I was a kid, I remember feeling that in my head and I didn't think it was strange at all. It was like, this man's talking, this woman's talking. I'm like, I don't know what they want. . I didn't care. I just

kind of ignored it. Um. Now my guides that I work with consciously, and sometimes I don't know who they really are, it doesn't really matter.

Um, yes, sometimes it's, it's mostly ideas that tend to pop in. They can seem really random or out of nowhere or oftentimes they're met with a sensation in my body as well, usually on my crown. Um, it depends, like Jesus, for example, I said that I work with, there's a specific area of my head that I feel his energy, it's not always [00:26:00] him by the way, who's, you know, trying to send me things.

But like that piece about hair, I just kept hearing or thinking, talk about the spirituality of hair. And I kept feeling this like, tingle over here and I was like, okay, whatever. So that's how I hear if you will. Um. Most of the time, sometimes it's even louder. So I might feel it in my gut and sometimes I might even hear the words.

But mostly for me it's um, I think, 'cause I trust my mind, it'll be a thought that sort of shows up and I'm like, huh. And if I try to push it away, it doesn't go away.

Dawn: Wow, that's really cool.

Track 1: because I was sort of thinking in the background. Okay, maybe I'll talk about hair. Maybe I'll talk about hair. I was like, talk about hair. Maybe I'll talk about hair. Talk about

Dawn: That's really

funny. I didn't think we'd.

Track 1: Yeah. I didn't either. I never talked about hair on my podcast, but whatever. [00:27:00] It's fine. Um, , for those of you doing hair out there, you may consider now that your work is divine.

I mean, it is divine, but how it's actually quite a spiritual act, not only in your listening and processing of other people, but, um, you have quite a responsibility I think spiritually when you're up at people's crowns. Uh. That's my opinion, but, um, well, really interesting then that this journey is kind of new, but opening up for you.

So do you think that you've discovered your soul's purpose?

Dawn: Um, I'm not sure. I'd like to think that I have, I, again, I really feel like this whole podcast thing, I always wanted to have my own show. Even as a little teeny child, I would always have a microphone and whatever I thought I was gonna be, I. Some talk show host or whatever. Um, I wanted to be a reporter. I wanted to meet people. I love being around people, but now I'm feeling like I am kind of a, a bridge [00:28:00] for between the listener and the expert, and I'm just providing that platform so that they can get the information that they need when they need it the most. They might not even

realize that it's information that they need until they happen upon it, and they liked one of my other podcasts.

So they start listening and, and they get something out of it. So my goal, and I hope my soul's purpose is to help people. Um, and I hope that what I'm doing is helping. And if it is. Then I would say yes, that is my, I think I'm doing my soul's purpose 'cause I thought it was what I was doing while I was doing hair. And then now, yeah, I work with the elderly so that they can stay in their homes and they don't have to go to a, um, senior home, you know, nursing home. Um, so I, that's very rewarding being around the elderly at the, you know, LA latter stages of their life, hearing all of their Important insights on things. [00:29:00] Um, but then, yeah, so I'm, I'm doing that during the day and then in the afternoons I'm talking to all these spiritual people, so I really feel like it's just a magical time right now for me. I'm just learning so much and I feel like my, my heart and my mind are expanding

Track 1: Beautiful. Well, I'd love to take a look at your chart. I bet you Uranus is doing something right now that's significant. The great awakener,

the planet Uranus. Mm-Hmm. . Um. Yeah, really interesting, uh, that you're working with the elderly. Um, I have also received guidance that I would be working probably more in this space of the dying, not, not a little bit further down the line, maybe of what you're doing now.

Um, but I've received kind of messages about death, doula work and um, that kind of stuff to help people transition.

Dawn: I had an episode with a death [00:30:00] doula, and it was one of my very favorite episodes. I didn't even know what a death

doula was, and you'll have to go back and listen to it. I promise you, you will not regret it. It was one of the most enlightening, beautiful episodes I ever have done. I loved it. I, I think it's

Track 1: So.

Dawn: work.

Track 1: So my, my birth chart has my NATO son. This is like my identity, a big focus of my life's energy in the eighth house of, that's the scorpion house of death, dying transition, um, transformation Phoenix rising from the ashes. I like. Eat, sleep, live, breathe, all this stuff. It's why my podcast exists. It's why my business exists.

I'm all about personal transformation. It's literally why I'm here in Greece right now. Um, and I do it for other people. This is like what, what I exist, uh, to do. Um, but I see this space of helping people [00:31:00] understand their lives and transition and understand their journey, um, at the end of life using astrology to reflect upon what they were here to learn and do, and to validate their experience of life.

Um. Using astrology so that they can more easily transition. 'cause I think what you're saying about, uh, giving them the space to share wisdom and to share all of the life experience, it's super important.

Dawn: Well, and I'm new to the game for these elderly people. Their

family have all heard their stories a million times. So they're, they get a new audience with me and I love to ask questions. So whatever they're telling me, I'm, you know, they're basically getting a second chance to relive their life through me by telling me all these stories. And I just, I love hearing them. Um. I always just feel so good when I leave. Like I would do it for free. I, I, I do it 'cause I have to pay my bills, but [00:32:00] my whole family said even if you got fired, you would still wanna do something along those lines. 'cause that's just, I, I do, I just, people fascinate me. I, I just feel like we can learn so much from every single person we meet.

Track 1: Yeah, absolutely. Well, because people are mirrors for us and the real, to circle back to this message of unity and understanding is that our work right now is to see the creator in everyone. Because we are all aspects of the creator, God's source, universe, whatever you wanna call it, Allah, doesn't matter to me, but we are all part of that one infinite creator.

We, I am an expression of that. You are an expression of that, having our own experience, but we come to understand ourselves more deeply and there's so much more richness in life when we're open to seeing [00:33:00] everybody else as an extension of the creator as well.

Dawn: Yeah, that's a beautiful message. do you feel like, you know how like algorithms, how, if you're looking at something, then all of a sudden you, that's all you're seeing. You just keep, you know, they figure out what you like to see and they send you and for your feed and stuff. So that makes me wonder, like this change that feels like it's coming, I didn't know if it felt like that because I have been delving so much into the spiritual as of late.

I've really been, you know, reading all the books and all this and it feels like things are really changing. I didn't know if that was just because I am in the spiritual realm right now, or if they actually are. that make sense?

Track 1: Yeah. Um, I kind of wanna say both. I had not thought about a spiritual awakening journey, like an algorithm, or I haven't taught like that before, but I may use this in the future , because I think actually [00:34:00] it's a really beautiful, um. A beautiful analogy to understand frequency. So what I mean by this is we are beings of frequency.

We just are, we're, we're a bio electromagnetic beings that are always offering a frequency. And what we offer is what we attract. The universe literally will give us what it is that we're, um, thinking about, concerned about, whatever, what is in our frequency, good, bad, or indifferent. The universe is actually neutral here, so.

It doesn't really care what you want, it's fine. , whatever you're, uh, thinking about whatever you're creating in your vibration, whether it be fear and lack and unkindness or um, spiritual expansion, ease, joy, whatever. Whatever you've, you are cultivating inside of you, you will see more of because you're gonna attract it that's in your frequency.

Um, so. [00:35:00] You are both creating it, probably by the way, from your own inspiration. So I kind of shared a bit about how my guides speak through me, but you get your own inspiration in other ways probably. Or based on what I've heard from you, um, through excitement. , you were talking about the podcast and like, oh my God.

And then this episode just like lit me up. So yes, this is following the breadcrumbs. Um. So anyway, that was already in your vibration, this interest, and now that you are thinking about it more and want to know more about it more, it is starting to become even more a part of your vibration and so you will attract more of it.

I will tell you my vibration is very highly attracting spiritual stuff all the time. I mean, I literally eat, sleep, breathe, . Um, I think even some of my clients and. My friends are like, oh my gosh, do you do anything else but like self-discovery [00:36:00] and deep internal work and like you're traveling all through Europe and you're talking about having these profound experiences.

I'm just like, go to the beach and drink a ma Thai and like, no , no, because I'm at the beach wondering like, you know. There's a portal over there. I can feel it, but like what was it like for the ancient people in this land and what did they leave behind? Anyway,

Dawn: right.

Track 1: being back to the algorithm, like an algorithm continues to sort of feed you what you're interested in.

The universe does that too, and so you are creating it and you are attracting it at the same time. Now, if it's not serving you anymore or if something doesn't serve you, you'll be disinterested and you'll stop attracting it. Um. So it's both. Does that answer maybe also what a beautiful segue for me to talk about manifesting.

'cause that's exactly what you're doing. You with your intention and with your energy, you are focused upon expansion, discovery, this tool, that [00:37:00] tool, talk about spirituality and your super open to it and you're following, uh, your guidance and your bliss with that. So you're seeing that more if. Humans understood that that's actually how they're creating their realities.

Our world would look really different. People think that it is, or, or actually, let me say it this way. People respond to the external, not the internal, except reality is not created from the External Inn. Reality is actually created from the internal out. Think about any time you've ever created anything.

Your podcast, for example, I'll use that example, but you can literally, anything children , uh, a new house, whatever. Um, your podcast came from an internal inspiration. Always. It didn't happen, didn't just show up on your doorstep. Something happened inside of you, and then you brought that into physical reality.

Now that's true [00:38:00] of every manifestation. Now what's really interesting. That if humans understood that they're manifesting all the time, and most humans are actually manifesting unconsciously, which means they don't know that they're doing this or they don't know how they're doing this. Uh, and this is a lesson you're learning by the way.

Um, they probably turn the news off and they would probably stop listening to the politicians and a various number of other things. The external is telling them how to think, believe, act, feel, and then guess what they think, believe, act, and feel in that way. And then it gets projected and created outwards when humanity and enough of us understand that our realities actually coming from within us, from the vibration that we offer.

And the universe will just meet us with it like an algorithm does on YouTube. . Um. We'll be much better off. [00:39:00] We'll learn to master our creative energies. I mean, one of the reasons we come to earth in human form, even though most people would think, oh my God, this place is so hard and there's trauma and there's drama and purpose.

What are you talking about? I can barely make it through the day, right? Um, mm-Hmm. . One of the things we come to learn here is manifesting is our creative energies. Humans are creative beings. We have creative energy moving through us. The Kundalini energy, the life force energy we're creators. And if people understood that that's coming from inside, so much will change on this planet.

And that's part of the shift in consciousness. So. You are taking an active conscious role in attracting this into your reality. Now, if you don't like it anymore, you can stop , but at the same time, people don't realize, oh, they attract the. The, the [00:40:00] deadbeat boyfriends, they attract the friends that just use them.

They attract the bosses that are not nice to them. They attract all these things and they think, oh my God, I'm a victim. Look at this. Reality hates me. The world is tough, blah, blah, blah. Hmm. Actually your creating that through a vibration that you're offering, maybe you don't feel worthy. Maybe you, you know, whatever the case may be.

Um, so you are learning actually a lesson about, and it's beautiful. I'm glad you asked the question 'cause you're learning a lesson about manifesting and how it really works.

Dawn: Yeah, I think also I wasn't really, I was um, getting wrapped up in the numbers game, like watching, see if my podcast was doing good and how many people are listening. And I was really getting obsessed with that and can I find a sponsor and all that? And then I just got to a point where I'm like, that's not why. I'm doing this, I'm doing this. 'cause I enjoy it. I'm doing it. Um, maybe for selfish reasons, [00:41:00] just because I'm getting all this information that things I'm curious about and excited about. And once I kind of made peace with the fact that I don't care about all of who, you know, I hope that people are getting something out of it. But I don't care if a million people are getting something outta it, you know, it's just like I'm doing it for me and I'm doing it for anybody that needs it. That's all I care about. I'm not in it for dollars.

Track 1: Yeah, and that's gonna expand and you're in it for love. So that's gonna expand and you're gonna have a huge influence. I'm sure it does lead to this next question, which is, what do you think limits people or even yourself, from living your purpose? What keeps people from living in alignment with their purpose?

I.

Dawn: Uh, other people's judgment and opinions I think are a huge factor in what stop the general population from doing what it is that they really [00:42:00] wanna do. Whether they were raised in a way where their parents said, you're gonna be a doctor. That's what you're gonna be. We've all, we have five generations of doctors, you're gonna be a doctor.

So they're just like, okay, I'm gonna be a doctor Um, like people don't wanna make waves. Um, or be the odd man out, you know, with everybody wants to feel like they're apart, so if they go outside of the box and do something different, they might worry that they're gonna get ostracized or something. Um, I think we block ourselves in pretty much anything that stops things from happening.

Good or bad. I think we just block ourselves. Too much time in the kitchen,

Track 1: For those of you listening, she's pointing to her head . Her mind.

Dawn: Too much time in their, in their mind, um, listening to thoughts and thinking that they're facts, just because they're thinking them. Yeah.

Track 1: yes. Yeah, that's, you know, [00:43:00] over identification with the ego in the mind, but really beautifully said. Um, . I had this thought. I'm like, somebody's listening, going, what's wrong with me? I cook all the time. What's wrong with that? Always in the kitchen. , get outta your kitchen.

you much, you bake too much. Obviously we're not saying that. Um, all right, well, I'd like to wrap up with this question. What do you think it means to live with purpose?

Dawn: Oh gosh. To live with purpose, um, doing what feels best to you, um, and helping others at the same time help working, oh, how do I wanna say it? Treating everybody like family, treating everybody like how you wanna be treated and that will make your heart full and that will make their heart full. And just being kind, letting everybody live their life [00:44:00] the way that they wanna live it. Try not to judge. I just, I don't know. I feel like the more, um, I'm expanding and learning, the more I realize that it's the very small things that make me the happiest. So that's what's ma feeling fueling my soul and my purpose is just keeping it simple.
