Episode 008: Discovering Beingness
With Marie nielsen
Knowing our true selves, beyond society's constructs, is a process of dis-covery. It requires the uncovering and realization of what you truly are inside. As we continue to uncover old beliefs and discover old patterns, we can come to know our true Being...which is ever present.
In this episode, I talk with Marie Nielsen, Clairvoyant and Holistic Development Consultant, about how uncovering the parts of herself has led her to understand what true self-realization requires.

Because you have to discover yourself from all the things that you thought you were
welcome to the Path and Purpose Podcast, where your journey of self-discovery meets with a collective awakening of humanity. I'm your host, Dr. Cameron Martin. In this exciting time of expansion and growth, we are witnessing a profound shift in consciousness. As spiritually awakening individuals, we are called to embrace our inner wisdom intuition and the deeper knowing that we're meant for more.
As an eternal student of the universe and a spiritual leader, I have dedicated my life to supporting your journey of transformation. Through this podcast, we embark on a shared exploration where you can find inspiration, insights, and guidance from the stories of others who are walking similar paths, to see your [00:01:00] truth reflected in their experiences, and to ignite the confidence to believe in the bigger purpose that awaits you.
This podcast is here to provide inspiration, insights, and guidance so that the path to living your soul's purpose becomes less of a mystery and more of a discovery.
Humanity's Ascension is calling for courageous souls like yours. Together we rise, aligning with our higher selves and embracing our divine nature. Get ready to be inspired, encouraged and reminded of the magnificent being that you are. Join me for this episode of the podcast where we will explore the many paths to living our soul's purpose.
The spiritual path is a path of discovery. It's a path of opening ourselves up to [00:02:00] understanding and experiencing different aspects of our being. It's about opening ourselves to receive more of who we are in our life experience. We come into this world and regard this pure form, anyone who's ever been around to children, um, know the magic. That is a child, which is really the magic of a soul that has come into a body without all of the programming and all of the expectations placed upon it.
And then as we grow older and living on planet earth, we continue to absorb more and more programming, more and more beliefs, more and more expectations. But the journey to living our purpose and the spiritual path to realizing our true self requires that we discover. What we really are. And to discover is to uncover.
Dis remove the cover from. What is the [00:03:00] illusion of removing the cover from the expectations from the societal fears and all these other things that we hold on to to realize what's underneath that fundamentally. And that's our soul. That's our essence. That's our being. And so the journey of self discovery.
That's the journey we need to take in order to be living our soul's purpose. Can look like many different things and the paths can be winding at four shore. But in essence, your path will unfold exactly as it should so that it can help you to become more present to your being or your being this, the essence of who you truly are. Because as we continue to uncover old beliefs and discover old patterns and uncover the reasons why we behave or act the way that we do.
And then we can [00:04:00] come to know our true being that is ever present. Always this ever awareness that is underneath all of these layers and layers and layers that our life puts on top of us. And so one layer at a time you continue to discover and uncover the being that you truly are.
My mission on this planet is to support spiritually awakening humans in discovering their soul's purpose. And I know that if you're listening to this episode, discovering your purpose matters to you too. And I also know that sometimes it can feel like the spiritual journey is never ending, and that our purpose is some far off thing, but there's no need to waste precious time living without clarity and alignment.
Living with purpose can start right now. So if you're struggling to figure out what your purpose is, and as a result you're feeling frustrated, uncertain, or maybe even a little lost, then I invite you to stop [00:05:00] spinning your wheels. Life is way too precious and you are too important. I've created an easy way for you to recenter and reconnect with your path.
I've created a sole purpose illumination session for people who are driven to know their soul's purpose. So if this is you, I invite you to book a session.
You can find the link to book this session with me in the show notes
Cameron: On this episode of the Path and Purpose Podcast, I'm here with Marie Nielsen. And Marie is a clairvoyant and holistic development and business consultant, a spiritual mentor, and a body therapist. . She blends the feminine and masculine in her work, and she leads her clients in discovering and embracing their true essence and watching them transcend to reach their ultimate potential. Welcome Marie.
I wanna start by asking you, um, what marked the beginning of your spiritual awakening?
Track 1: Well, I actually wanna sing my birth. [00:06:00] Um, and I know that that's, you know, quite significant in some way and also pretty obvious. Um, but I have a memory that goes back to very early weeks from my life. Um, and when I was a few months old, I, I'm born with a twin brother. And he was very sick and I actually tried healing him.
So we have like a photo of me placing my hand on him. Um, and I remember back then, you know, growing up, um, that I would always gravitate towards like supporting, helping. would take on people's emotions and having a hard time like, you know, discerning, whether it was my own or other people's. Um, so I think, you know, that was that.
Cameron: And so really ever since you were a child then you were very much in the spiritual space open to your different gifts and [00:07:00] things like that.
Track 1: Well, you know, I wanted to be open to them, but it was not really a thing here in Denmark and spirituality. You were pretty, you know, it was very, would you say you were very judged? Um, and I would always, you know, I was very interested in the witch hunts, um, and all of that, like, I felt pulled towards it and like I knew that I'd been a witch in the past and, and past lives.
Um, but I wasn't, you know, I wasn't encouraged to discover what it was, uh, until very, very late in my life.
Cameron: And so what was that sort of change point for you? Um.
Track 1: Well, I think it was around the age of 13 prior to that, leading up to that, um, I was going through a lot of struggles in elementary [00:08:00] school. I was bullied, you know, Having a hard time, very depressed, uh, wanted to commit suicide. I was very, very in a dark spot, um, deep down. And then somehow I ended up going to a kinesiologist.
Um, and she, without knowing it, she actually let me towards astrology in some way. Um, but she was helping me holistically, and that was helping me like in ways that psychologists would not, or therapists or whatever would never be able to do. So that was when I had my first experience experiencing of healing and connecting with my true essence.
Um, and then it again, seven years later, I, you know, I had changed my life in many ways, uh, and was going. I was, I, I have a master's degree in law and was studying law at that time. Um, and I was guided towards counseling, you know, just [00:09:00] stopping. But then I didn't trust my intuition. Um, and I, that led me to a complete breakdown.
And I nearly died from an eating disorder and, From healing from that, I could no longer not trust my intuition and no longer hide who I was or who I am. So I think around that age, 25, 10 years ago, actually this month, um, that was, you know, that was probably the greatest wake up call in my life.
Cameron: Can you describe what listening to your intuition is like for you? And I know you were saying that basically you weren't listening to it,
so you can answer this on either side of that coin. But what
does it look like for you to listen to your intuition? And then how do you know when you're not?
Track 1: yeah. So that's a very good point and a good question. Um, because as you, you say, it looks different for everyone. [00:10:00] Um, for me, I feel like my intuition is quick. It's fast, it's fun, it's joyful. It's, it's who I am as a person. Um, so it's very like speed up and upbeat and then, you know, you have, um, when I'm ignoring it, that's when my mind takes over.
So I have this saying that, you know, within like a snap, you know, If it's your intuition and then your mind will start questioning or start asking, yeah, asking questions or coming up with all reasons how to, why not, why you shouldn't, like all of those, those questions to it. Um, and if I just roll with it and, and go, then there's no issue.
So I feel like it's, it's easy in some way. Um, but it can also be like, it depends on if it's like reation or warning me of something. Then it's like my body's like tightening and my [00:11:00] stomach and like I feel it in my body in like a harsh way. And then if it's like, yeah, you should go there, then it's like butterflies.
Cameron: So, but both of these, listening to your intuition I'm hearing is very physical for you.
Um,
Track 1: physical.
Cameron: Whereas like anything else is just the mind. It is just the ego. Right.
Track 1: You should, yeah. Yeah.
Cameron: So can you bring me back then to, uh, you can share as much as you want, but back to law school, when you are not listening to your intuition, what is the experience?
What are you feeling in life? What are you knowing? Were you being asked? Were you feeling very constricted? And being asked to what, what was going on at that moment? Because I think a lot of people, you know, we think about living our purpose. It's really nice if we have like this clear picture, like, oh, this is what I'm supposed to do.
But for most people, we have, well, for everyone. We have guidance along the way, and so sometimes we miss the gentle nudges until it's [00:12:00] something much bigger. So can you take us back to that moment?
Track 1: Yeah, that's, that's very accurate. Um, sure. So, you know, I thought my purpose was to become a lawyer and I thought purpose, Involved earning a shit lot of money. And I, I thought that vocation was the same thing as purpose. Um, so I think that was what took me on that law trip to begin with. And then during law schooling just started, as you say, become tense.
I started working out a lot. I, you know, I pursued a lot of different. Dreams and goals that I had, like becoming a model, working at the Royal Theater, uh, acting, all of those things. And that was what my, my body and me soul was called to, I was beginning like Pilates, um, doing that yoga, and there was this calling inside of me that, that was, you know, I [00:13:00] should take, like I should become a teacher in Pilates or I should pursue those things.
Oh, no. I have this law thing, so my, and I, I, I actually got work as a paralegal, um, or student at the, at this law firm, and that was when I ran into another depression and. I had this therapist physiotherapist, he was like working on my shoulders all the time, and my body became like this and I didn't know why.
So I, I worked out even harder and, you know, I ate even less. And I like, I was like going like this in different directions with my energy. And I was never internally, like I was never listening to myself. I was always outside of myself. How are people pursuing me? Like, how are they watching me? What do they think about me?
I was never like, what do I think about myself? Who am I? I was never raising that question yet. Still like, and that's when we come back to how does the intuition [00:14:00] talk to you? Because my intuition would, would continue to talk to me and I was writing my journal, but I never listened to it. And then my ego came and, oh, no, no, that's not important.
Like, you should do this. You have this direction, you become this, you become that, and this and that label. So I could label myself like a model. I could label myself as, as an actress, a performer, um, as you know, whatever. But never as who I was or who I am because I wasn't that person.
Cameron: Mm.
Track 1: Um, I think, you know, and then my body just like, Broke down at the end of it.
Um, and I think that was the recovery as you call it, like healthcare wise. Um, and at least when it has to do with eating disorders or any other addiction or issues like that. You called it a recovery and that was when my intuition hit me like very strong. Like, no, no, no. This phase that you're going through now, that's [00:15:00] discovery.
Because you have to discover yourself from all the things that you thought you were. And, you know, during I, I used Pilates to build out my body again. I ditched the whole system and, and that was when I really listened to my intuition. And my body at least, you know, finally, , it had to become so small and, and like almost disappear in order for me to choose life.
I was literally giving the, the choice if I wanted to die or to live. That was how bad it was. Um, so, and then, then I was giving up that the choice of going with the healthcare. Care , uh, the health system, uh, or going my own holistic way. And that was when my family supported me and we went on our own with our, you know, my intuition, my body, what it needed, what it told me.
And that was the greatest [00:16:00] support that I could, it would wish for and needed at that time. And after six months, In that face and, and getting help from holistic practitioners. And my Pilates trainer, I actually ended up enrolling in a Pilates course and took that education and I wish that I had just did that whole freaking law thing.
And I, during that time as well, I did finish my masters in, in law. Um, but I knew right away that I'm not going to use it because it
Cameron: not gonna use it.
Track 1: Yeah.
Cameron: Yeah. It's really, well, thank you for sharing that. I feel like, would it be safe to say then that, that. Choice to follow a holistic path to wellness was maybe a first big time listening to your intuition.
Track 1: Definitely it was like my body was finally, you're doing it. It had, you know, a few years before I had started going in that direction, like taking [00:17:00] out, like listening to my body, taking out like food that I was intolerant to. And, and, and going that way because my body, like it hurts so much in my stomach whenever I had gluten or dairy or whatever, and I think, you know, my intuition was starting to wake up.
My psychic abilities were starting to wake up and I had no clue what that was, what it looked like or whatever. But, you know, slowly and surely it started building up. And, and I, my body at least, it's, it's so open and connected to everything around me. Like the highest, you know, dimensions, uh, STAs aliens.
Now we get really woowoo for some, but, you know, that's how it is,
Cameron: We're
gonna go.
Track 1: So, you know, I, I knew that I needed to go that way and I was actually a raw vegan for a year and I pushed that too far because of the eating disorder and, and my mind taking over, but, [00:18:00] What it did for me holistically at least, was there was also some beautiful things in that.
Um, but I was, you know, I was still in this like very, very split personality. Yeah.
Cameron: Well, actually, I want to go back to, I really don't wanna step over this. You made the. You expressed the word discover in a really interesting way, and so I'd like to circle back with that and I heard it and understood it as your experience of discovery as discovering or uncovering, but also
maybe detaching.
So can you say a little more about that? Cuz that I really liked.
Track 1: Thank you. Yeah, that was exactly what I meant. Like it's, it's about, you know, When we are born, we are giving a name, and then we are given, you know, like a family and we are given all of these different things and oh my God, you look so cute. Oh my God, you're this and that. And then, [00:19:00] you know, I grew up as a tomboy.
I, you know, I played soccer for 21 years or 18 years. Sorry. You know, I, I did all of these different things and none of it was what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be and who I felt I was and knew I was. So, I think. From, from everyone else and from society at large. We are always giving all of these labels and, and we are covered in other people's expectations of us, but also then our own expectations.
then we, we, we have this, oh, you should, like what do you wanna be or become when you grow up. That's like what you ask every single kid, right?
Cameron: Well, no, and it's a horrible question, isn't it? Because the answer's just gonna, it's just, yeah, the answer's just gonna pigeonhole you into something, which
Track 1: Exactly.
Cameron: who knows?
Track 1: Exactly. And, and one day you wanna be a firefighter, and then the next day you wanna be a soccer player. And then the next day again, you wanna be a [00:20:00] astrologer. I don't know, like it can change. And that's why I think that when we are going through all of this, like when you go to a coach and you finally feel like, I feel like spirituality, um, at large is.
Your final holistic wellness is, has always been, always, that's a strong word, but oftentimes it's, uh, it is a final destination that people go to when they can no longer, like they're having so much stress, so much anxiety, feeling so depressed from everything else that they cannot shine and become and, and live home like.
Who they are and who they feel they want to be. Um, because they have all of these responsibilities and, and then they name it all. And you're just like, but where are you in all of this? And I feel like that's, that's what's a spiritual coach or, or a holistic mentor can do, is to help you discover astrology.
Is that another good, [00:21:00] very good tool for that. So you can start aligning and, and getting to know your soul and, and your essence, and then you, it would just start falling apart really.
Cameron: yeah.
Track 1: Yeah,
Cameron: Yeah, I mean, this is exactly why I do the work that I do. Right. Back to the question of what do you wanna be when you grow up? Well, all I wanted to be as a kid was a teacher.
I did that. I still am a teacher, but like I did that, I also, well, I had a dream. I wanted to be a teacher and I also wanted to drive a school bus. So my idea was that I would teach the kids and then drive them home afterwards. When I became a teacher, I realized that that was like a recipe for murder So I'm, I'm joking obviously, but there's no way in heck I could do that. But anyway, the work that I'm doing now, right. Um, we. Kind of at that age be very surprising, but what you're talking about in supporting people and discovering who they really are. Well, that's why I'm on [00:22:00] this planet and as a coach and as an astrologer, right? Always reflecting to people who they really are. Because the world that we live in, the Matrix, if you want to call it that or whatever is. Just busy and noisy and has all of these programs, and as you were kind of saying, right, uh, expect to do a sport or do this or go to law school, right?
This is what it means in society to be successful, whatever. But eventually we reach a point where we're like, wait a second, like this doesn't work,
or This doesn't work for me because where am I in this? Life that I've created for myself essentially. And the truth is, we don't have to get to that breaking point in life if we would just learn to connect with who we truly are, our higher selves, our intuition, the being that we are. Um, you know, I have some clients that generally with age, this becomes harder in some ways, right? Because it's more years of [00:23:00] programming or being a person in a certain. Way a certain pattern or condition to life that people create.
It's harder when you're older, cuz there's more, you know, my younger clients tend to be like, oh, Well, then I'm not gonna do that. I'm gonna go quit that job, or I'm gonna do this thing. Right? Um, but even so, I think fundamentally as a human, everyone can change. We're here to evolve. We're here to grow, right?
So the question of what is, what do you wanna be when you grow up? I think it's very limiting because you're always gonna change and grow as you are evolving. But the question of what is my purpose and why am I here? Well, this is one that can guide you your entire life.
Track 1: Yeah, true. I, I wanted to answer your question when you said it there that what do I wanna become when I grow up, or what do I wanna be when I grow up? And I think the most. The perfect answer to that question is yourself or me. [00:24:00] And, and then, you know, just continuing, growing and evolving and transcending.
It's, we have heard this buzzword over the past years about self-realization, right? And I think that's quite limiting,
Cameron: What
does it mean to you?
Track 1: so I just think I'm, I'm not going, I'm not even going to. Elaborate on that, because I think that it's just like, oh, realizing who I am and then well done. Okay. So I was 23 or 34 or whatever when I discovered that.
And then what should I do with my, my life? You know? I feel like you should transcend that and evolve and grow and become even more. And as you say, like we live in a matrix, we live in a quantum reality. You can literally change and, and shift with your mind. And decide what reality do I wanna live in, because there's so many parallel realities.
But if you're only like on one track, and that's the story [00:25:00] that you've kept playing yourself of, of everyone else has been telling you all your life, then there comes a point where, okay, the track starts because you can no longer see that. Like your soul is just like, I can no longer do this. I, I, I need to break free.
Cameron: Um, yeah. I wanna, I'm gonna push the idea of self-realization too for you, but also the listeners, right? Because. Um, I totally hear what you're saying. It's one thing to know who I am, a self as an ego, as an identity, right? So it's one thing to know who Cameron is and how he shows up in the world, and it's another to know who Marie is and who she's been and what she's created. But true self-discovery, I would challenge this with a capital s is knowing. The true self, the all pervasive universal life force, God source, energy, whatever you wanna call this, that is within us, that truly well more accurately is us, right? We [00:26:00] beings of infinite light, abundance part of the creator, part of the universe decided to come into a body. And then when we do right, some people call this the soul,
the atman, you know, all these other things, but the self comes into the body has an experience down here on earth, which matters. Right. And you know, I am, I use the word one to describe God, cuz I'm saying the same thing. But I am the one expressing as Cameron in this life.
So I get to play this game called Cameron's life. But the truth is right behind all of that is the true self. And I think when our journey gets us there, which you're touching on, the multiple realities, the bitterness, right? When our journey gets us beyond the ego's identity, right? Beyond Cameron's construction of his self to truly understand. The larger true self, I [00:27:00] think that that's the place where we start to truly know who we are and also how we operate in life. So I kind of wanna maybe go to the WBO space with you because the self, the true self. Um, is infinite and is abundant. And so you're talking about connections to multiple timelines, parallel realities, extraterrestrials, mind you, girl, I'm right there with you.
Like my existence in life is very much, um, connected to these things. But anyway, how do you know those aspects of yourself? Or even, I guess another question would be, how would you know if you're connecting with your higher self versus just Marie's ego?
Track 1: That's a, that's a, that's a good question. Again, you're raising so many good points. Um, I think it's difficult to be honest. Um, and, and I still debate sometimes, uh, whether or not it's my higher self. But [00:28:00] I also have come to learn that my higher self wants the best and happiest life for me, but also for everyone else.
And I have learned that when I am just happy, when I'm just joyful, it doesn't matter if I earn any money. My purpose can be to have fun with my friends, to just be present in the moment. And then I know that my presence, because as you say, it's omnipresent in some way, it's, it's like beyond that, I help healing other people just from being my soul and who I am.
So actually my ego would say, oh, I have to start a business, or I have to be like a soul mentor. I have to do, do, do all of these different things. Whereas my higher self is just like, Hey, wait, what about just being. I think that's, that's when I know that it's my hassle of talking [00:29:00] when it has to do about, like my beingness and just being present in the moment.
Um, whereas my ego is like, business planes do this, say that, you know, going
Cameron: Stress, anxiety,
Track 1: that comes like, that's, that's the next, that's exactly the next thing. Yeah.
Cameron: But when we're connected with a higher slope, it doesn't feel that way. And you know, I, I do wanna. Kind of, uh, just mentioned this piece cuz for a lot of people listening, right, I talk about connecting with your higher self and you know, living your purpose in alignment with your higher self. And that sounds really lovely.
And then at some level, I'm gonna just say it, it can sound kind of woowoo, but the truth is, we are these multidimensional just huge beings that. We're not taught this. The world that we live in does not teach us this. The world that we live in teaches us that we are limited, [00:30:00] that we are bad. I mean, my goodness, the story at the very first story of the Bible, well, I mean, I don't know if it's the first.
I guess that's Genesis. God made the world in seven days, whatever. Um, But the Garden of Eden, right? You're told that literally you're sinful, that you're messed up, that you're not good enough, that you're whatever from the get go. And anybody who's ever been to church and I mean I grew up a Catholic, so like Catholic guilt, right?
Anyway, our whole world has this story of you are not good enough, period. Um, And that you're limited and that you don't have these gifts or skills or abilities. And when we hear that people do, they're either clairvoyant or they see, uh, deceased loved ones or they connect with extraterrestrials or have these gifts.
We say that they're crazy and we throw them into, well, not, not, I don't know so much anymore about asylums, but we did. Or you, in your case, right, in another life. Mine too, as a witch.
Track 1: [00:31:00] Yep, exactly.
Cameron: Yeah. They, they burned you over the stake. Right. And, um, yeah. And yes, the truth is we are these infinite beings and we're not taught this. So to go back to what you said, you know, maybe it's challenging to be connected with your higher self. Well, like, Yeah, because we're not really taught that now. It's my life's work to support people in actually reconnecting, in actually knowing and doing what it requires to know yourself, your higher self, at that higher level.
And you know, a big piece of this, um, is knowing why you're here, right? This is the astrological component. It's knowing your past lives, how that's influencing you. Because once you know all of that, you kind of know. What's not that and what's not? That is this pervasive underlying beingness kind of as you were saying, and that's the higher self.
That's your [00:32:00] true essence, that's your true nature. But we have to true embody that and experience it. It's not something we can cognize, like we can talk about it as much as we want to. And that doesn't do anything, or it doesn't? Well, I can't say it doesn't do anything. It does something. But if it stays in the land of thought, oh, I have a higher self.
Oh, it's guiding me, blah, blah. Okay, well that's nice. But it's through meditation, it's through self inquiry. It's through truly listening to your body. It's all of these practices and many more. Right. That's why I'm here to know it. To embody it, to feel it, to know like, oh, my higher self is tapping me on the head right now and saying, don't do this right.
Or, oh, my body is saying this, I mustn't be in alignment with my higher self. Right. Um, we do have to kind of learn, not kind of, we have to learn this. It's literally why I'm on planet Earth cuz we're not taught this.
Track 1: No, I [00:33:00] 100% agree. What you are talking about makes me think about some of the clearing work that I do because over the years, you know, I've been to a lot of healers. I. Have Reiki healing like I'm a, a master and reiki myself, and there's something triggering around the word healing when it comes to animals or human beings, or the planet earth or whatever, because healing for me means that something is broken.
So we are literally telling people, oh, you should go see a healer. I e you're fucking broken. Instead, I wanna, like, I've come to this realization that, you know, it's much better saying that there's something clearing, like the direct flow of energy, like your chi, whatever, that's what, uh, acupuncture does, right?
That's what, uh, Tai Chi helps with. Uh, Chi gun helps moving all of those things. And one of the things that have like crystals, [00:34:00] what were something that I, I used a lot for some time and I know it. Mainstream for quite some years now. Uh, sound healing is what helps my clients and myself really go deep, uh, and clear.
Um, like this. So feature is scale or the, you know, like, just like healing sounds. It, it does something that words cannot describe.
Cameron: Yeah, because sound is frequency, right? And we are beings of frequency. So these are really powerful ways to shift us.
So, okay. On the thread of clearing then, um, what do you think is the biggest barrier to living your purpose?
Track 1: um, other people's expectations. I think that we already know if we are in true alignment with ourselves, know ourselves, embody [00:35:00] ourselves. There's nothing holding ourselves back. Well, our own thoughts. So you could also say it's our thoughts and our, our brain, really. Um, but I think that our brain is here to help us manifest.
If you take the tarot, like that's like, you know, the magician, you have all the tools that you need, the magician is ruled by mercury, your mind. The Bible literally is a description of how to manifest your life. How like you're literally giving given all the, like what you should do. It's so easy when you learn to read the Bible that way.
It's difficult before because then it doesn't make sense and then it's simple and then it's just mental. But our mind is our greatest assets, but also our greatest barrier. And when you first get other people's expectations off, then you're left alone with your own expectations and that's just, you know, That's just [00:36:00] a shift in mentality really, and in consciousness.
So I think, you know,
greatest barrier can become our greatest tool afterwards, if that makes sense.
Cameron: Yeah, well it is, um, I'm thinking of the phrase with much freedom cuz much responsibility, right? We have, we have this beautiful mind that is part of the creation, right? Endowed by the creator. But for most people, our minds are totally untamed. And programmed in subconscious ways that are really destructive to us and we don't know how to master our minds. And so then it becomes this beautiful tool that interfaces essentially with source, and the world in front of us. Right. Um, can become the biggest barrier.
Track 1: So I actually on that trip, um, [00:37:00] when I was growing up, as I said, I was bullied. I was having a hard time. I did also have a, a beautiful childhood in many ways. So thank you mom and dad. Um, but. I was having this, my mind works in mantras and rhymes. That's like, that's when I know I'm connected because it does that.
But then growing up I had this mantra that nobody likes me and that's okay because I don't like you all anyway. And that was literally . That was literally like what I was going and singing to myself for years on end. And I didn't know why my life was so miserable. Well, job. We create our own reality. Of course, I didn't know that back then.
That's what I've been doing. Like I'm, it's 20 plus years now, and it wasn't until last year, last summer, I discovered the law of assumption law of attraction. [00:38:00]
Cameron: Mm-hmm.
Track 1: the whole thing around that was when it really clicked for me. How my mental game, because I've been saying affirmations, four years, positive affirmations.
Now I learned to shift that, but it, it never resonated. It never shifted anything in my life.
Cameron: Yeah, not, I don't like these people. Anyway,
Track 1: no, I, that was a good one. I, I, I, I can laugh about it now, and I laughed about it that back then, because that was my truth, right? It was, it was what I was experiencing. That was my reality. It was, it was not good. But then when I learned that, oh, everyone loves me, but still inside, I haven't healed that subconscious part of it.
And I think that was also one of the reasons that that eating disorder spiraled into what it did and, and all of that. So it wasn't until last year, as I say that, I've been doing a lot of work around the subconscious mind. And that's where I think a lot of the whole, like we can go to coaches, we can go to, you know, [00:39:00] um, Talking with psychologists or whatever and is chatting, chatting, chatting.
And we are never going deep down and we are learning, oh, you should just write all of these affirmations and repeat them 10 times a day or whatever. But if you don't believe them, then what do you have? Nothing. Um, so going back then to, you know, what you said around our mind and, and that can, you know, It is, it comes with responsibility and essentially we have responsibility of how we wanna live our life, but also how we create it because there's no one else but ourselves that create our life.
Not even God. Oh, well God is because as you said, the I am the one expressing myself as Cameron, or expressing myself as Marie or whoever. So that as that is like a massive major [00:40:00] responsibility that we are each given.
And that to circle everything back to your podcast. It's like the path and the purpose. I don't think that we only are given like one path or one purpose in life.
I think that our greatest purpose is to express ourselves in multiple ways and have the most fun, love, abundance, excitement that we can feel, and there are many different avenues to experience that and fulfill that
Cameron: Beautiful.
Track 1: set up.
