Season 2 – Episode 10: A Sacred Pause

In this episode I discuss the concept of taking a sacred pause amidst the busyness of our lives. I share personal experiences from recent weeks, including engaging in inner work and experiencing significant astrological changes. I stress the importance of intentional rest to reconnect with one's true self. When we learn to take time to pause, we can open ourselves up to guidance from our Higher Selves and reset our energy so that we can better learn to lead from Being. This episode will be the last until 2025, as I plan to take a necessary break to rest and rejuvenate. I invite you to reflect on what a sacred pause would look like in your own life and to reach out with your plans.

This podcast will inspire you to live in alignment with your soul's purpose and create a lasting impact one conversation at a time.

Today I want to speak to you all about the energetics of this moment that we're living in and the importance of taking a pause. In the world that we live in, it's very easy to go, go, go, go, go, and to honestly lose ourselves in the doings and the ongoings of our lives. So much so that we actually forget our true nature.

For me, the last few weeks have been very intense. In a good way, but very intense. My teachers came to visit Los Angeles for a few weeks at the end of October and early November. And I engaged in a lot of, uh, inner work, inner sessions, workshops with them. And I also spent some time in Sedona, Arizona, which was a beautiful sort of rest and reprieve moment.

The reality is this year for me has offered so much. So many new opportunities, so many new projects, new people to work with, new people to connect with. It's been really wonderful, and I've been sort of moving full steam ahead. Really, the world that we live in demands a lot of us, demands a lot of our attention, demands a lot of our time, demands a lot of our energy, and we really don't Often take time to just pause.

And so today I wanted to invite us to consider what it may look like in your own life to take a sacred pause, which is an intentional time to take a step back to rest, to be, to connect with what really matters. And also to just rest and take some time off. So for me, over the next few weeks, I'm going to be taking a sacred pause.

This is going to be the last podcast episode that I share for a little bit until 2025, which honestly is right around the corner. I don't want to just sort of leave you hanging. I want to actually share with you what's been going on inside of me and what I'm going to intend to do. My program from my past is to do, do, do, achieve, achieve, achieve.

I earned my Ph. D. and two master's degrees and was successful in two careers. Well, now this is the third, so three plus careers. At this point, it didn't happen from nothing. It happened from a lot of hard work and a lot of attention and desire to serve and to be. sharing my gifts. However, that way of being has also been for me a way to sort of avoid some of the deeper Things emotionally going on inside myself needs within me to belong needs within me to be loved or to express self love.

I have in the past spent a lot of effort working and achieving and proving really to myself my own worth through the work that I do. And I'm sure for a lot of you listening, you're understanding going. Yeah, that's me too. And yet we can't be doing that all the time because we're not robots. And of course, if you're listening to this episode, you've know that I teach about being centered leadership and in order to lead from being, we need to first connect with our being.

We need to understand. what's going on inside of us. We need to create time to feel, to rest, to journal, to imagine, to connect with ourselves all over again. And from that place of connection with our being, then we lead. And so I'm actually going to take the next few weeks to do this for myself and hopefully to be an example for you of leading from being as well.

Not only have I moved through a lot of personal things the last few weeks, my paradigm has shifted ideas around what I need to be doing or not doing, what projects I want to put time and energy into or not, what relationships I want to put more time and energy into. How I want to serve myself and take care of myself.

These are all questions that have come up inside of me in a very loud way the last few weeks. And so I'm knowing that I'm needing to pause and I can feel it in my energetic body. Personally, I felt a lot of change, a lot of shifting, a lot of sort of uncertainty and unsettling, kind of like I'm being shaken a little bit.

Now, mind you, This is not a rare feeling for me. I've moved through a lot of spiritual change and spiritual growth, and I know that when I'm feeling this way, it's really a time to pause. Why? Because then we can really start to hear what's going on inside of us. As you know, season two of the podcast has brought with it a number of changes.

Of course, our focus now on leadership and practically applying leadership in our lives. We've talked to a number of leaders, spiritual teachers, healers, authors, musicians, all about their spiritual journeys, but also the ways in which our spiritual journeys can inform And I've shared with you my ideas around being spaces and how we can cultivate intentional spaces for being, which in essence is leadership.

I've shared principle ideas about the law of one and some foundational ideas around how we as souls evolve and grow and change. And shared a ton of ideas around how we can learn to take this information and apply it to our lives. To living our soul's purpose, really the last nine episodes have been totally chock full, and I'm quite proud of what was shared with you.

So I invite you, if there's anything that you've missed in these episodes to go back to it, to spend some time reviewing, listening to some of these old episodes, because this period that we're living in right now is one of tremendous change. And the change is happening. At a deep internal level and expressing itself in the external right now this month, we've had a big astrological energies with Pluto opposing Mars, the planet of change and transformation, opposing the planet of taking action.

We also have Pluto 19th of the month, which I've spoken about in other episodes, really shifting the whole paradigm in what it means to be human. for us to be human. Um, a lot of changes collectively, changes in our society, changes to systems, themes of freedom and equality and sovereignty and standing in our power.

All of these are coming and Pluto is going to be an Aquarius until the year 2043. So this is going to shift us for quite some time. Also, Saturn is moving direct, the planet of karma and the planet of, um, effort and needing to put time and energy into things. With all of this happening, there's a lot of acceleration that's occurring and a lot of development that's occurring, but it's really important for us to be honest about what's going on with our nervous systems right now, because it can feel like, oh, I need to run and keep up with this opportunity, or do, do, do, when in reality.

If our nervous systems aren't attuned, if we're not feeling safe within ourselves, if we're feeling anxious, if we're feeling worried, if we're feeling tired, if we're feeling exhausted, then we're going to miss the opportunities that are meant for us during this time. And so that's why I'm sharing this idea of a sacred pause with you today.

I invite you between Now and the end of the year, really we're moving into holiday season to think about how can I take a sacred pause? For me, I want to focus my time, attention and energy primarily on two projects that I have coming that I don't want to share too much about yet. All to say that expression and writing is a big deal for me.

I want to spend time resting. I want to spend time taking care of myself and I want to spend time having fun and connecting with the people that matter to me. This is what I am intending to do over the next month and a half of the year. Also this week, I'm going to be going to Peru on a retreat. So I'm very excited to see what that retreat has for me.

I'm going to be going to Machu Picchu and the sacred Valley, exploring those sacred lands, of course, but also my own internal experience. Um, so I'm really excited to just create that space and to feel that for myself. I invite you to think about what a sacred pause would look like for you over the next few weeks.

I'd actually love for you to reach out to me. You can send me a message directly, uh, on the show. If you're listening on Spotify, you can chat with the show. If you're on YouTube, you can leave a message below. If you want to email me directly, you can Cameron at your path and purpose. com. I'd love to know what it is that you are planning to maybe do for yourself.

What would a sacred pause look like for you? Personally, I'm looking forward to a lot of new opportunities in the new year. Things that are already brewing for me. Work with some new teams and their leaders. To explore their dynamics spiritually and to bring more of a being centered leadership to the world.

I'm excited about speaking opportunities that are unfolding. I'm excited about a few other projects that I'm working on too, but right now I know within my being that I need to pause, that I need to rest and that I need to be, because ultimately it's nice to talk about leading from being, but if I don't make the concerted effort to connect with my being.

by resting, by pausing, then I wouldn't be doing you much of a service. So, I want to mention a couple of things to you at least, opportunities. So just because the show is going to be on pause until Part 2 in Season 2 in January, uh, doesn't mean your journey has to stop. Now when we give ourselves a moment of pause and a moment of rest, we can actually look back at our journey.

And sit with a bit of appreciation for it. I'm very proud of the things that have happened this year for Path and Purpose, especially since launching season two of the podcast, but not only that, the Soul Purpose Collective as well. Each month inside the collective, we focus on a particular topic that then we look at from the lens of spiritual teachings, astrology, healing, and And so in our first month, the theme was that it all begins with thought, and we explored the power of our thought and our manifestations.

We explored our birth charts in the ways in which we communicate and the ways in which we think. We did some healing around old patterns of belief and stepping into the idea of being spaces, which I shared with you earlier. And previous episodes in October, our focus was the law of one and principles around the law of one and polarity, which if you missed episode six, you can go back to that and hear a few of those principles.

But again, our focus was around seeking polarity and observing polarity within our lives, looking at the polarity within our birth charts and connecting that back to our leadership and healing some of the polarizing. Things that might be within us this month our theme is karma And we began by focusing on a lesson of what karma is We'll be looking at our birth charts and certain indicators of the chart that help us to understand our own karmic contracts in this lifetime We'll work on healing karma and Talking about the intersection of karma and free will and what that really means for leadership It's been really exciting to share the space in the sole purpose collective with the community every single month.

And if any of this sounds interesting to you, I'd love to have you. The community is really the space where you can take my teachings and apply them in your own life inside of a community. It's a place that is designed for conscious leaders like yourself to learn and have the tools to connect. live and lead in alignment with their soul's purpose.

It's been really exciting sharing that space with everyone. Next month, we'll be focusing on Dharma. So what it looks like to actually walk our path.
