About Dr. Cameron Martin

I am, at my core, a teacher.

My Story

For most of my life, I was focused on achieving. Two master's degrees and a PhD by 31. A career I'd worked toward since childhood. A life built carefully, credential by credential.

In 2018, it came apart. In the span of weeks, I left a job, a graduate program, a relationship, and a life in Massachusetts behind, and moved to San Diego to begin my doctorate. I was still executing on the outside. Inside, I was in what felt like a dark night of the soul: everything I'd built was falling away, and I had no map for what was underneath it.

Astrology was one of the first things that helped me make sense of it. I sat with an astrologer and felt something I hadn't felt in years: truly seen, not for what I'd accomplished, but as a person with a design, a direction, a purpose that had been there all along, underneath everything I'd performed and proven.

That session didn't hand me answers. It handed me a different question, and it changed the direction of my doctoral research, and my life, entirely. I found my own purpose in the process of helping others find theirs.

A Decade of Practice

For over a decade, I've built a practice at the intersection of business, leadership, and astrology. My formal background is in business and leadership: before I ever called myself an astrologer, I was working in education, nonprofit, and corporate settings, and my post-secondary education includes an MBA and a Master's in Educational Leadership alongside my PhD.
